Last week when the Seattle weather finally cleared up, I was able to photograph Mike and Tara’s engagement session.
We started off meeting for lunch at Azul in the Mill Creek Town Center. I enjoying meeting clients for lunch because it is a great way to break the ice and get to know more about them. We went to one of their friends barns out in Snohomish County. The sun was shining and we were able to get some amazing shots, not only using the barn but the fences and surrounding areas.
Here is a slideshow of the session also. I love putting together slideshows of photos, especially with music as it adds emotion.
This was a networking meeting and we did a few networking activites so that were able to meet new people ( vendors, etc) that we might not have known previously.

We will be documenting a “Day in the life” as models show off the latest gowns from Alvina Valenta’s Fall 2010 Bridal and Bridesmaids Collections, we will also showcase brides coming for their appointments and fittings. I love organizing things, and for the last 2 years I have organized photo shoots at WPPI. I felt what better then to take that same premise and apply it here in Seattle. I have met so many wonderful vendors and made so many photographer friends, I felt it was a great combination. Weeks ago I started planning this event and chose Hotel 1000 as the venue. Why did I choose Hotel 1000? For a few reasons, Josh just happens to be the Boka Restaurant Manager there, and I have established relationships with the hotel as I have done boudoir shoots there. More so the venue itself is breathtaking, to me it is everything I want my photography to reflect classy, simple yet unique, elegant yet modern… it truly is a hotel unlike others I have been too.
So I began to gather vendors who wanted to participate and together came a GREAT group of people willing to make this event an success.
