I cant even begin to tell you how happy I am to be shooting Patrick and Jessica’s wedding next year.  First of all, Jessica is one of the sweetest people I have known and she deserves the happiness and love that Patrick gives her and her son Kaleb.  I met Jessica early last year when I took photos of Kaleb ( what a cutie) and she has become a regular client of mine.
It is important to me to spend time with my clients before the wedding be it during consultations, or during a session such as this, because being comfortable with your clients and vice versa is so important on the wedding day.  I’m not at the wedding doing a job, I’m documenting the memories and moments of 2 very special people.  Now that I know Jessica so well, I have no problem posing her on her head or in a field of spinach ( just kidding) (maybe).

I am in the process of desgining Jessica and Patrick’s guest book which they will use at their wedding.  Its wonderful for friends and family to share their thoughts and advice on that special day and the guest book with photos from their engagement session is a perfect way to do that.

We chose University of Washington for our locations.    There are just so many different areas on the UW campus that the possibilities for different shots were endless.  From the trees and the sprawling greens, to the architecture of the school buildings, we felt it was just an inspiring location.

Here a few of the photos from our session!

If you are anything like me, sometimes you wait until the last minute to get things done. Senior Photos for 2009 can still be booked with me. What can I offer you that other places don’t? Me :) OK, seriously.. I am fun, I like to have fun on my sessions. I want my seniors to be relaxed and to feel that they can be themselves. Think about it, these photos are a reflection of you and when you look back you don’t want a cookie cutter shot that everyone else does.
Do you like to skateboard? bring it along, we can go to a skatepark, like trains.. we can find a train and hang you from it.
Love the beach, we can walk along the sand and someone can throw you in the water ( well maybe at the end).
Whatever it is you like to do, we can work it in the session. My point is that you don’t have to sit on a chair and say cheese. First off, I hate cheese unless its on pizza and do you sit on a chair all day? Exactly.. why take a photo in one.

If you want something a bit different and fun.. then give me a call. I am still taking on senior sessions for 2009.
Are you Class of 2010 and looking to be a spokes-model or rep for your school? I am looking for senior representatives from Mill Creek, Bothell, Everett, Kirkland, Lake Stevens and Snohomish. Even if you are not from one of those areas but you want photos, dont be afraid to ask, I do travel and LOVE going into Seattle. Gasworks, Pike Place, Pioneer Square, Seattle Center are just a few of the great places we can use as our setting.
Are you outgoing, fun , want some great photos to show off to your friends and can bring me lots of business? ( it will pay off for you trust me) then contact me now for a special Spokes-model interview.

Here are just a few samples of the photos from my previous Senior sessions.

Happy Mothers Day

May 9, 2009

I wanted to take this time to wish all my family, friends, clients, and anyone else reading ( thanks) a very Happy Mother’s Day.

I am so lucky to have 2 wonderful children. At times I feel like I’m going to go absolutely insane, and times I think I can not possibly raise a teenage boy.  But inside my heart I know that my life would be nothing without my children and times I feel like my heart isn’t big enough for all the love I have.
My daughters eyes can light up a room, her smile and laugh is infectious.   My son is witty and intelligent, his friends all value their friendships because he goes out of his way for them. These things are just a few of the many things that make my kids amazing.
Having an age gap the way I do might prove difficult as they tend to bicker back and forth and they both feel the world revolves around them. At the same time, the way she looks up to him, and the way he takes care of her and makes her laugh is something I value very much and hearing them laugh together makes my day.

I’m also very lucky to have a mother that is amazing.  My mom is intelligent, funny, compassionate, loving, independent and a wonderful spirit. Through good times and bad, though ups and down my mom never stop laughing.  Her motto in life is “It’s never too late”.  Because she believes it doesn’t matter how long you wait, or say you cant do something, you can and its never too late to start, to try or to succeed.  I do not like the fact that I am in another State, I miss our lunches at the beach and walks to get English Candy.  Happy Mother’s day Mom!

I am also very lucky to have a wonderfully loving Mother -in -law who is so generous with her love and stops at nothing to make sure we are ok. I also have a stepmom who is so wonderful, she is loving and happy and takes such great care of my dad.  Happy Mother’s day!

I forgot to mention that my sons birthday is Monday.  Yes I usually share Mother’s day weekend with him.  I don’t mind though, because it was the best Mother’s day gift ever in 1995.   So Happy Birthday to him!

I hope that all of you out there ( mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, wives and friends) have a wonderful day and take a moment to appreciate how lucky we all are.

Sunday I went to the University of Washington for Jessica and Patrick’s engagement session ( sneak peeks soon to come)
and usually I don’t bring my kids with me, but with the weather being so nice I wanted to bring them so we could spend some time together.  Izzy chased Justin around while we took photos.  It was nice to be able to work but also be with my family.   Justin even helped me with the reflector at one point and I was showing him how to see the light.   He did a good job.   After that we went to Whole Foods which is becoming one of my favorite stores.   We got a smoothie and some mini desserts as well as did some shopping.

Anyway, I recently got this cute pink parasol.   I am not a huge “prop” person but bright colors and fun things to keep my daughter happy are always a plus. I snapped a few of these, she wasn’t as into photos as much as she usually is and she said the parasol was pretty but too heavy for her hands.

So here are a few of from my 5 minutes she gave me
