Tuesday I was able to be part of a very special wedding.   Jay suprised his fiance’ Paula by showing up and taking her to the courthouse for a surprise wedding.  She knew they would be getting married at the courthouse, but she had no idea he was going to just show up and whisk her away.   This was a very last minute booking for me, but I was happy to be able to photograph this occasion for them.

After the courthouse, we went down to Pioneer Square in Seattle.    Since Jay and Paula have a similar style to mine, it was a perfect fit.  We had so much fun, and it was clear to me having only known them less then an hour how much they were in love.

planned with selected, cream-of-the-crop, Eastside Wedding vendors. “Something Blue…” will highlight and market the talent, quality, and diversity of selected wedding vendors on the Eastside. The goal is to promote and market Eastside vendors in a premiere wedding event for the

Saturday August 15th, I had the pleasure of taking part in Erin and Roy’s wedding.   Having only met them about a month before, I was very honored that they trusted me with such short notice.
Their venue was the gorgeous Inglewood Golf Club.  If you have not been there, I highly recommend taking a look at their website.   With sprawling greens around the gold course, the hidden nooks and crannies of the inside, this really helps set the tone for a very classic wedding.

Erin’s colors were black and white with touch of green which can be seen in her floral decor around the venue.  It was so subtle yet really enhanced the look she was going for.   Erin opted to use 2 of the engagement photos form our session in Downtown Kirkland as sign in photos.  Set up on easels and on the table at the entrance.  Its always nice to see your work displayed and for people to enjoy looking at it!  :)

I had 2 assistants with me at this wedding.  My husband Josh who second shoots and also does lighting, as well as John Huson a fellow photographer from Tacoma.  His help was instrumental in catching different angles throughout the event and he did an awesome job! So thanks to John!!!
I was also able to work alongside some fantastic vendors. Susan Boogie- That Takes the Cake provided the not only gorgeous looking wedding cake, but one of the best I have tasted to date. ( yes i will admit i look forward to having a slice of cake)
Also Alexa Johnson- Fiore Blossoms, who provided the venue decor as well as the floral arrangements for the bouquets and boutonnieres.
Inglewood Golf Club’s own Audra Goetz was on hand to ensure the day ran smoothly and she does an incredible job of keeping everyone informed of the up to date events as they happen, and making sure that the vendors as well as her clients are well taken care of!
Erin and Roy also had a wedding planner Cindy Davisson.  She was instrumental in ensuring everything remained on point and on time throughout the day.  I know she was a huge part in the planning process and instrumental to the overall success of the event.

Besides working with Erin and Roy, I must say that working with Erin’s mom Dawn Johnson was fantastic.  She really made me feel like family, v.s someone she hired.  I really felt like I was able to express anything to her and she was receptive to ideas, as well as input on the timing and events of the day.  Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your daughter’s special day!

I must say these images are some of my favorite yet. I hope you agree!

I will admit I have a slight fascination with ring shots!
