This past Sunday I had the pleasure of joining a small photo get together in Downtown Seattle by Seattle Bus Terminal. We were able to work with a gorgeous couple Stephen and Taylor. It was a blast and we had a alot of fun. Its nice to get out now the weather is changing and we get more drier days then rainy days. ( which in Seattle is a great great thing)

Taylor really knows how to model and the camera loves her. Stephen being her willing boyfriend made the perfect accent to the shoot as they posed together. I feel like some of the photos could be ads for a clothing company…

A few Saturdays ago, I headed out to Downtown Seattle to meet Morgan ( one of my previous seniors and one of my most favorite people to shoot) .  It was Jackson Senior High’s ( located in Mill Creek) Prom and she wanted some photos of her and boyfriend Neyaz.  I suggested downtown because 1. her Prom was being held closeby.  2.  Morgan is willing to try different things and use fun and interesting places as her backdrop.   So we went to Pike Place Market.   There are so many areas to use down here.  We started down the stairs by the fish market where they have an awesome wall of just crazy posted magazine ads.  A bit busy but it totally works for the photos I was seeing.     We also used Post Alley and the waterfront park.

I am not sure why Morgan isnt modeling because she just sparkles in front of the camera and her eyes are to die for!!!!!

SPA runway mixer

April 27, 2009

Sunday I attended  The April Shower, May Flower networking and runway mixer for  SPA This was held at the Last Supper Club which is a cool little joint down in Pioneer Square.    I havent been as active in SPA as I would like, but this was a fun time and it was good to be out and able to shoot something VERY different.
I have never shot runway’s before and more to the point never shot in a dark club.  I had my Sb-900 which I used.   It really was a learning curve for me because I wasn’t quite sure of what lens I wanted to use.  I switched between the 50 and 85mm but I probably could have gotten some full length shots with the 24.   It was a bit intimidating with all the guys on their ladders and step stools with their flashes mounted on stands or from the rafters, but since it was my first time I just did what I could.   Next time I know what I can do different.

So here are a few.  After we got to shoot with some of the models around the club

During WPPI I got together about 35 photographers and we went and shot at the Neon Boneyard in Las Vegas.
I cant put into words what an experience this was. Not just for the opportunity to shoot there with great models and get some great photos, but the friendships I made that day and the amazing photographers whom I got to meet and shoot with. I honestly walked away with so much more then I would have thought.
Here are some of the shots from that day.
